The Canadian School of Ballet was established in Winnipeg in 1938 by Dr. Gweneth Lloyd, O.C. and Betty Farrally, O.C., founders of
The Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Regeanna Stubel and Carley Bailey, are the proud new owners and directors of The Canadian School of Ballet and are happy to carry on the legacy that has been a part of Kelowna for 53 years.
From their introduction as a recreational interest to the aspiring professional dancer, our mandate is to provide programs in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern and Musical Theatre and are designed to allow students to develop to their utmost potential. Our students study R.A.D ballet and our taught by certified and experienced instructors.
We are in the process of rehearsing for our
annual production of
The Nutcracker as well as gearing up for upcoming festivals and competitions. We want our students' dance experience to provide personal satisfaction, a wonderful sense of achievement, and an appreciation not only of dance, but great theatre and fine music that will last a lifetime.
The school will also be the host location for
The School of Alberta Ballet and
Canada’s National Ballet School national audition tours. http://wanttodance.ca/Blogs/News-Events-And-Festivals/October-2011/It-s-Audition-Season!.aspx
