DWTS Season 13: There's no hope left on the dancefloor

Last night's Dancing with the Stars results show went as expected: Rob Kardashian, Ricki Lake and JR Martinez are competing next week for the mirrorball trophy.

And Olympic gold medalist Hope Solo was left with partner Maks on the ballroom for one final dance. While the results itself were uneventful, DWTS made up for it with a slew of performances.

First up was Rob and Cheryl who were given the chance to perform their booty-shaking samba once again. It's great that Rob has made it this far in the competition and Monday night he received a 10 from Carrie-Ann. I bet if someone said Rob would perform an encore performance during results night, no one would believe it -including him!

The Macy's Stars of Dance for the evening was the Design a Dance contest where, throughout the season, fans got to vote for their favourite pro dancer and see them perform. It wasn't a surprise that Derek would be pick. He's not only really good at dancing, but he has charisma on the dance floor and is likeable on TV. I was so happy fans chose Anna to perform. She must have made an impression during her time on the show -and with Carson Kressley as her partner, it's only fitting she was a fan favourite. The pair danced a strong and passionate Paso Doble to Lady Gaga's Bad Romance.

Singing included a performance by Cobra Starship as well as some favourite characters from our childhood. Gonzo replaced Brooke Burke as Tom's co-host for a segment to present Kermit, Miss Piggy and the rest of the Muppets who were on hand to perform a song which I can only guess is from their upcoming movie. It was very Broadway-esque.

The segment that stood out last night was the spotlight on four male dancers from Gold Studio in Boston (Footloose's Kenny Wormald's old stomping grounds). They talked the bullying that happens to them for being dancers, but also shed light on the benefits of dancing from a male perpsective. The four were flown out to L.A. to perform on the DWTS floor with some of the female DWTS pros.

Next week is the final week that we get to see Rob give it a shake (though I still don't think he can pull off a first place finish), Ricki move like Jagger, and JR dominate the dance floor. As I mentioned yesterday, the dancers will have four dances including a freestyle, a redemption dance and a favourite dance.
