DWTS Season 13: The final four are announced

After eight weeks, Nancy Grace has been eliminated from Dancing with the Stars. Tonight's eliminated contestant wasn't a much of a surprise, in fact, I think the majority of viewers were surprised with how far she made it.

Given this season's surprising outcomes (i.e. Chynna Phillips, Kristin Cavallari and David Arquette's early exits), many were nervously waiting for the results (well, I was anyway). With that being said, it was pretty disappointing to hear that Rob Kardashian, and not Hope Solo, was one of the bottom two contestants that was in jeopardy.

Don't get me wrong, I thought Hope did  a great job this week. It may have been her best performances to date. But in the scheme of things, Hope has been in jeopardy the most and let's face it, Rob is the better dancer which I would have never guessed two months ago.

My attitude towards Rob has changed throughout this season -when I first heard he was going to be on the show, I had written him off as another MTV/E! reality star trying to make his 15 minutes of spotlight last longer. I think Cheryl didn't have high hopes either. But week after week, this "Kar-Dancian", as the DanceCenter crew referred to him, improved and managed to place second in the standings for quite a few weeks and you could see Cheryl toying with the idea that Rob can actually have a shot at winnning.

Though tonight's episode featured performances by Andrea Bocelli, Flo-Rida, and a television premiere of Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson Immortal, I'd have to say the showstopper of the night was the return of DanceCenter, a satire featuring Jerry Rice, Jerry Mayne and Len Goodman. I can't believe they don't have this segment on every results show! From taking jabs at Rob's dancing and Kim's marriage ("his stint on DWTS lasted longer than Kim's marriage"), to Ricki's love for Derek, to calling Tristan a leprechaun and egging him on to say third (which, with his Irish accent sounds like 'turd'). Did I mention Jerry and Kenny's use of the hydraulic grand staircase for a long-distance high-five and the crew bringing up Maks' infamous outbburst? Hilarious.

Next week, JR Martinez, Ricki Lake, Hope and Rob compete for a spot in the finals. We already know JR is a shoe in, but Ricki looks like she's getting frustrated and tired. As for Hope and Rob, I think that will be up to the fans to detemrine who goes through.
